After being mounted in the fixture, the damaged portion of the
center tube is cut from the extension.
Next, a new tube is bent, fit, and tack welded to the frame extension. |
The tube is fully TIG welded into place. The welds are ground smooth.
A new crank guide is welded in place, then the extension is removed from the fixture and is lightly sandblasted, completing the repair. |
