1936 Ford

The engine controls were installed uncomfortably close to the steering column when this car was originally built. We're attempting to make the driving position more comfortable by moving some things around. We cannot move the steering column, so the first step is to get the gas pedal moved over. We heated and bent the pedal to shift it to the right. We're also modifying the transmission tunnel to allow more foot room.

Several holes were left in the firewall and floor area of this 1936 Ford, letting exhaust gas, heat and smell into the passenger compartment from the engine bay. As we work on the pedal spacing we're also attempting to seal up the compartment by fabbing some new panels and plugging some holes.
