MGA doors have steel frames and aluminum skins. Frequently, the
side curtain mounting holes get egged out at the rear. We TIG weld
them shut and redrill them to the correct size.
The door had several layers of paint and an egged out rear hole. This detail shot shows the hole.

Ted is shown TIG welding a hole shut on a door. After welding and grinding, we just need to redrill the hole. Of course, we forgot to take a picture of the finished door! |
