We test-fit the MGA wood floorboards before welding in the floorboard rails to ensure that they rest naturally where they would like to be. The floorboards supplied by all the major suppliers are fine, but requre some hand-fitting and trimming in certain areas. One the trimming was completed and everything lined up properly we welded the floorboard rails in place.

After completeing the rest of the welding (including the rear corner support section) we brushed all of the fresh steel with rust-inhibiting paint. We completed the repairs by painting the floorboards black, drilling the screw holes and installing the floorboards.
