We ended up quite a bit behind on our website postings as we (very slowly) updated the website in 2023. Here’s a photo dump of some of the metalwork we repaired before sending the body out for bodywork and paint.
We always test fit the grille, front bumper, and valance before an MGA goes to the body shop.
While we usually strip all of the paint off before sending the car to the body shop, this car was solid enough to leave the rest of the paint and filler removal to our partners at Kimber Auto Body. Our work was to repair the major rust and collision damage as well as set all the gaps. They took over to smooth out everything and paint it Iris Blue.
