With the firewall completely disassembled we opted to repair a bit of rust in the battery area and then scuff, prime and repaint the whole area with matching paint.

After rebuilding at the machine shop We masked and painted the engine in black enamel. The cylinder head, which is the high-compression version, required careful masking and gold paint for originality. After painting we completed the reassembly by reinstalling the front engine components
